Juvenile Justice Act Article 87

This Act shall come into effect on July 1, 1971.The amendments to Article 18, Paragraphs 2 to 7 done on May 31, 2019 shall come into effect on July 1, 2023. The amendments to Article 42, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 3 on sending a juvenile to an appropriate medical institution or an institution that implements transitional education or other appropriate measures for placement, together with the deletion of Article 85-1, shall come into effect one (1) year after their respective promulgation. The amendments to Article 18, Paragraphs 6 and 7, Article 26, Paragraphs 2 to 4, and Article 61, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 3 done on May 31, 2023 shall come into effect on July 1, 2023. Articles 18-1 to 18-8 shall come into effect on January 1, 2024. Apart from the preceding, the amended articles of the Law shall come into effective upon promulgation.
