Senior Citizens Welfare Act Article 22
If the elderly or their legal support obligor is unable to pay the National Health Insurance premiums, co-payment fees or other uncovered medical expenses, the municipal and city/county competent authorities shall provide subsidies.The regulations governing the eligible recipients, items, standards, and other related matters of such subsidies shall be prescribed by the central competent authority.

老人或其法定扶養義務人就老人參加全民健康保險之保險費、部分負擔費用或保險給付未涵蓋之醫療費用無力負擔者，直轄市、縣（市）主管機關應予補助。
