The duration of the program that a foreigner with legal visitor or resident status is undertaking at a short-term tutorial center is not permitted to extend beyond the approved period of their short-term stay or residence.When a foreigner enrolls from overseas to study Chinese at a short-term tutorial center, the duration of the program is not permitted to extend beyond the permitted duration of their stay, and the total duration of their studies is not permitted to exceed one year and six months.

具有合法停、居留身分之外國人於短期補習班研習，其修業期限不得逾停、居留期限。
外國人自境外報名於短期補習班研習華語者，其修業期限不得逾停留期限，且其累計修業總期限不得逾一年六個月。
