Regulations Governing the Recruitment and Management of Admission of Foreigners to Short-Term Tutorial Centers Article 10
To study at a short-term tutorial center, a foreigner who has legal visitor or resident status shall submit a photocopy of their foreign passport and associated documentary evidence of their approval to be in Taiwan when enrolling at the short-term tutorial center.A foreigner who wants to register from overseas at a short-term tutorial center that has received approval to admit students to Chinese-language courses shall submit the following documents:1. A photocopy of their foreign passport.2. An application form.3. A study plan.4. A financial statement showing that the person’s financial resources are adequate for their requirements during the period they will be studying in Taiwan (a person wanting to undertake a three-month program shall have at least NT$150,000).A foreigner who is under the age of 18, or a foreigner who was involved in any illegal circumstances during a previous period when they were studying a Chinese-language course in Taiwan is not permitted to enroll from overseas to study Chinese at a short-term tutorial center.

具合法停、居留身分之外國人於短期補習班研習，應檢具外國護照及停、居留許可相關證明文件影本，向短期補習班報名。
外國人自境外向經核准招收華語研習之短期補習班報名者，應檢具下列文件：
一、外國護照影本。
二、研習申請表。
三、研習計畫書。
四、具備足夠在臺修業期間所需之財力證明書（三個月期課程應至少具備新臺幣十五萬元）。
外國人未滿十八歲或曾於國內研習華語課程期間有違法情事者，不得自境外報名短期補習班研習華語。
