Regulations for Academia Sinica Presidential Searches Article 2

When the President’s term expires, or in the event of a resignation or vacancy, the Academia Sinica Council (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”) shall establish a Presidential Search Committee (hereinafter referred to as “the Committee”) to manage the selection process. However, this regulation does not apply if the President is reappointed pursuant to a Council resolution described in Article 10.If the selection process is due to the expiration of the President’s term, the Committee shall be established one year prior to when the term concludes.
