Family Act Article 32

Rules that govern the qualification, selection and designation, performance assessment, training, discharge, remuneration or other related matters with regard to mediators handling family matters shall be prescribed by the Judicial Yuan.Mediation on family matters shall be handled by mediators who shall be selected from the appropriate persons who are equipped with awareness of gender equality and respect for multiculturalism.Except as otherwise provided in this Act, provisions in Part II, Chapter II of the Code of Civil Procedure on the mediation proceeding shall apply, mutatis mutandis, to mediation proceedings for the family matters.

家事調解，應聘任具有性別平權意識、尊重多元文化，並有法律、醫療、心理、社會工作或其他相關專業，或社會經驗者為調解委員。
關於家事調解委員之資格、聘任、考核、訓練、解任及報酬等事項，由司法院定之。
調解程序，除本法另有規定者外，準用民事訴訟法第二編第二章調解程序之規定。
