A district prosecutor's office may set up a prosecutorial assistant position, which may be filled by various professionals employed or contracted in accordance with the relevant laws. A prosecutorial assistant shall carry out matters such as case procedure review, legal issue analysis, and data collection under the orders of the prosecutor.For those who possess the qualifications to practice as lawyers, the period during which they serve as a prosecutorial assistant shall be counted towards their seniority of legal practice in accordance with the preceding paragraph.Matters concerning personnel selection and appointment, training, operations, managing and performance evaluation of a prosecutorial assistant shall be as prescribed by the Ministry of Justice.

地方檢察署得置檢察官助理，依相關法令聘用或約用各種專業人員充任之；承檢察官之命，辦理案件程序之審查、法律問題之分析、資料之蒐集等事務。
具律師執業資格者，依前項規定充任檢察官助理期間，計入其律師執業年資。
檢察官助理之遴用、訓練、業務、管理及考核等相關事項之辦法，由法務部定之。
