Medal Award Act Article 5
The Service Medal is awarded to any civil servant that has an excellent service record upon retirement, resignment or death under the following conditions:1.Continuous 10 years service or service in an official position is awarded with a Third Grade Service Medal.2.Continuous 20 years service or service in an official position is awarded with a Second Grade Service Medal.3.Continuous 30 years service or service in an official position is awarded with a First Grade Service Medal.4.Continuous 40 years service or service in an official position is awarded with a Distinguished Service Medal.

公教人員服務成績優良者，於退休（職）、資遣、辭職或死亡時，依下列規定頒給服務獎章：
一、任職滿十年者，頒給三等服務獎章。
二、任職滿二十年者，頒給二等服務獎章。
三、任職滿三十年者，頒給一等服務獎章。
四、任職滿四十年者，頒給特等服務獎章。
