Negotiable Instruments Act Article 137
If the drawer's funds on deposit or the sum of money agreed to be advanced to the drawer under a credit agreement are insufficient to cover the amount of the check drawn, the drawee may pay a part of the amount.When a situation like the one referred to in the preceding paragraph occurs, the holder shall indicate on the check the actual amount they receive.

付款人於發票人之存款或信用契約所約定之數不敷支付支票金額時，得就一部分支付之。
