Organizational Act of the National Science and Technology Council Article 2
The Council shall be in charge of the following matters:1. Overall planning, coordination, review of national policies on scientific development, technological research and application, and allocation of resources.2. Overall planning, coordination, review of national scientific development, technological research and application programs, and resource allocation and management assessment.3. Promotion of basic and applied scientific and technological research.4. Promotion of major science and technology R&D programs and support for academic research.5. Overall planning, coordination, and promotion of forward-looking industrial technology R&D and university-institute innovation policies.6. Planning and promotion of science park development.7. Management of the Executive Yuan National Science and Technology Fund.8. Other matters concerning scientific development, technological research and applications.
