Long-Term Care Services Act Article 8
The central competent authority may announce specific categories of long-term care (LTC) services.Applications by the public for the services referred to in the preceding paragraph shall be assessed by the long-term care management center or the municipal or county (city) competent authority; the municipal or county (city) competent authority shall provide services based on the assessment results.Applicants for LTC services involving medical or healthcare-related care shall obtain a physician’s written opinion, and the services shall be assessed by the care management center or the municipal or county (city) competent authority.For the services set out in paragraph 2, subsidies shall be provided by the competent authority based on the degree of impairment of the person with functional impairments and the financial status of the household. If subsidies of the same nature may be applied for under other laws or regulations, only one subsidy may be claimed.The assessments under paragraphs 2 and 3 may be commissioned to professional organizations. The assessment criteria, methods, qualification requirements for assessment personnel, and other related matters shall be announced by the central competent authority.The subsidy amount or subsidy rate under paragraph 4 shall be determined by the central competent authority.

中央主管機關得公告長照服務之特定範圍。
民眾申請前項服務，應由照管中心或直轄市、縣（市）主管機關評估；直轄市、縣（市）主管機關應依評估結果提供服務。
接受醫事照護之長照服務者，應經醫師出具意見書，並由照管中心或直轄市、縣（市）主管機關評估。
第二項服務，應依失能者失能程度及其家庭經濟狀況，由主管機關提供補助；依其他法令規定得申請相同性質之服務補助者，僅得擇一為之。
第二項及第三項之評估，得委託專業團體辦理；評估之基準、方式、人員之資格條件及其他有關事項，由中央主管機關公告之。
第四項補助之金額或比率，由中央主管機關定之。
