Long-Term Care Services Act Article 8-1
The care management center or the municipal or county (city) competent authority shall, based on the assessment results referred to in paragraph 2 of the preceding article, determine the level of long-term care (LTC) needs and the amount of LTC service benefits for the individual according to the degree of impairment.Users of LTC services shall bear a prescribed percentage or amount of the LTC service benefits determined under the preceding paragraph.Contracted LTC service providers shall collect from LTC service users the required co-payment amount or percentage specified in the preceding paragraph and shall not reduce or waive such payments.The eligibility criteria for applying for LTC services under paragraph 2 of the preceding Article, the determination of LTC need levels and benefit amounts under paragraphs 1 and 2, the user co-payment percentages or amounts, and other related matters shall be prescribed by the central competent authority.

照管中心或直轄市、縣（市）主管機關應依前條第二項之評估結果，按民眾失能程度核定其長照需要等級及長照服務給付額度。
民眾使用長照服務，應依前項核定之長照服務給付額度自行負擔一定比率或金額。
長照特約單位應依前項規定向長照服務使用者收取應自行負擔之長照服務給付額度比率或金額，不得減免。
前條第二項長照服務申請資格、第一項與第二項長照需要等級、長照服務給付額度、長照服務使用者自行負擔比率或金額及其他相關事項之辦法，由中央主管機關定之。
