Long-Term Care Services Act Article 63

Long-term care institutions established as subsidiaries of Veterans Homes—which were founded under the Act of Assistance for Retired Military Personnel—specifically to provide long-term care services to retired military personnel and their co-residing dependents, shall be governed by this Act regarding establishment standards, qualifications of the person-in-charge, training and certification standards for personnel, and evaluations. However, the provisions of Articles 23, 25, and 35 regarding permit and approval procedures shall not apply. Instead, these institutions shall report to the local competent authority for record-keeping (filing) within 30 days after obtaining approval from their superior governing authority.The long-term care institutions mentioned in the preceding paragraph shall not be subject to the provisions of Article 14.
