Mental Health Act Article 55
If a specialist physician designated by the local competent authority diagnoses that an extension of the period specified in Paragraph 3 of the preceding Article is necessary, the designated psychiatric institution shall apply to the Review Committee for an extension of mandatory community treatment no later than 30 days before the expiration of the period.The duration of the mandatory community treatment extension referred to in the preceding Paragraph shall not exceed 1 year.

地方主管機關指定之專科醫師診斷有延長前條第三項期間之必要者，指定精神醫療機構應於期間屆滿三十日前，向審查會申請延長強制社區治療。
前項申請延長強制社區治療期間，不得逾一年。
