Regulations Governing Installment Payment of NHI Insurance Premium and Overdue Fine Article 11
Failure to pay any installment on time by the group insurance applicants or the beneficiaries will result in the whole payment being due, and the insurer shall resort to administrative execution and have the right to handle the matter according to the following:1. Suspend payment of insurance benefits;2. Suspend the issuance of the NHI Card;3. Suspend the update of the credits for medical treatments embedded in the integrated chip of the NHI Card.When any aforementioned group insurance applicant or the beneficiary who violated the regulations governing installment payment re-applies for payment in installments, all over arrearages of such group insurance applicant or the insured shall be included in the application, and the reapplication shall be limited to one time only. In addition, the amount of each installment may not be lower than the average payment of the previous installment arrangement.

辦理分期之投保單位或保險對象，如有一期未按時繳納，視同全部到期，保險人得依法移送行政執行，並得為以下之處置：
一、停止保險給付。
二、停止核發保險憑證。
三、停止其更新保險憑證晶片內所載就醫可用次數。
前項違反分期繳納之投保單位或保險對象，再次申請分期時，應連同其他欠費一併辦理，但僅以一次為限。
且每期繳納金額不得低於前次分期平均一期繳納金額。
