Act of Military Education Article 5
Paragraph (1)The purpose of basic education is to train officers and Non-commissioned officers. Military schools and military training facilities provide the training for basic education with and responsible for the followings:Subparagraph (1)University: The purpose is to develop military command, technical and staff officers/ Non-commissioned officers. It includes 4-year bachelors and 2-year associates degrees.Subparagraph (2)Associates degrees: The purpose is to develop applied science and technical proficiency for officers/ Non-commissioned officers.Subparagraph (3)Middle school: The purpose is to train Non-commissioned officers the basic leadership. .Subparagraph (4)Military development education: To provide those whom possess Bachelor’s degree, Associates degree and equivalent education level learn the military art proficiency.From subparagraph (1)-(3), the admission method, admission qualification, length of study period, performance evaluation, school management, graduation eligibility, degree and certificate awarded are follow the education law.The military development education in subparagraph (4), the admission method, admission qualification, length of study period, performance evaluation, school management, graduation eligibility, degree and certificate awarded are follow the MND regulations.Every education course admission requirements have to submit to MND for approval.

基礎教育以培養國軍軍官及士官為目的，由軍事學校或軍事訓練機構辦理，其類別及宗旨如下：
一、大學教育：以培養國軍指揮、科技及參謀軍官、士官為宗旨；得設立正期班、二年制技術系、四年制技術系或同等班隊。
二、專科教育：以培養國軍軍官及士官應用科學與技術，養成實用專業人才為宗旨；得設立專科班或同等班隊。
三、中等學校教育：以培養國軍基層領導士官為宗旨；得設立常備士官班或同等班隊。
四、軍事養成教育：以對具有大學、專科或中等教育學歷者，施予軍事養成教育為宗旨；得設常備軍官班、常備士官班、預備軍官班、預備士官班或同等班隊。
前項第一款至第三款學生入學方式、入學資格、修業年限、成績考核、學籍管理、畢業資格、學位授予、畢業證書發給等事項之規則，由國防部會同教育部依相關教育法律定之。
第一項第四款學生班次之設立、入學方式、入學資格、修業期限、修業課程、成績考核、學籍管理、畢業資格及授予第一項學生軍事學資等事項之規則，由國防部定之。
第一項各款招生規定，由軍事學校或軍事訓練機構擬訂，層報國防部核定。
