Standard for Installation of Fire Safety Devices based on Use and Occupancy Article 6

Where a multi-purpose building used for places listed in Article 12, Subparagraph 5 has other purposes as described in other Subparagraphs or Items of the same article, provisions in this Standard except Articles 17, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 4 and Subparagraph 5; Article 19, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 4 and Subparagraph 5; Article 21, Subparagraph 2; Article 23, Subparagraph 1 and Subparagraph 2; and Article 157 shall apply. The total floor area shall be accounted as a single place by totaling respective items as units based on different purposes.
