Police Personnel Management Act Article 34
Performance evaluations shall be conducted according to the following procedures:1. Performance evaluations for police personnel at the National Police Agency and its subordinate police institutions, academies, county (city) police departments, and the Central Police University shall be approved by the Ministry of the Interior or the police institutions or academies authorized by it before being sent to the Ministry of Civil Service for review.2. Performance evaluations for Police Generals serving in the police departments of special municipalities shall be approved by the government of the special municipality before being sent to the Ministry of the Interior to refer to the Ministry of Civil Service for review. The performance evaluations for other police personnel shall be approved by the government of the special municipality before being sent to the Ministry of Civil Service for review.

辦理考績程序如下：
一、內政部警政署與所屬警察機關、學校、各縣（市）警察局及警察大學警察人員之考績，由內政部或授權之警察機關、學校核定後，送銓敘部銓敘審定。
二、直轄市政府警察局警監人員之考績，由直轄市政府核定後，送內政部轉銓敘部銓敘審定；其餘人員之考績，由直轄市政府核定後，送銓敘部銓敘審定。
一、內政部警政署與所屬警察機關、學校、各縣（市）警察局及警察大學警察人員之考績，由內政部或授權之警察機關、學校核定後，送銓敘部銓敘審定。
二、直轄市政府警察局警監人員之考績，由直轄市政府核定後，送內政部轉銓敘部銓敘審定；其餘人員之考績，由直轄市政府核定後，送銓敘部銓敘審定。
