Pawnshop Act Article 12
A pawnshop shall obtain liability insurance from insurance companies approved by the Financial Supervisory Commission. The aggregate limits of insurance shall be determined jointly by the central competent authority and the Financial Supervisory Commission.The liability insurance prescribed in the preceding paragraph shall be obtained prior to the commencement of the business operation and shall continuously remain effective.

當舖業應向金融監督管理委員會核准之保險公司投保責任保險；其投保金額，由中央主管機關會同金融監督管理委員會定之。
