Act on Promoting Transitional Justice Article 5
In order to establish a liberal democratic constitutional order, deny the legitimacy of authoritarian rule, and learn the historical lessons of human rights abuses, symbols appearing in public buildings or places that commemorate or express nostalgia for authoritarian rulers shall be removed, renamed, or dealt with in some other way.Places where the rulers engaged in large-scale human rights abuses during the period of authoritarian rule shall be preserved or rebuilt, and plans shall be made for their designation as historic sites.

為確立自由民主憲政秩序、否定威權統治之合法性及記取侵害人權事件之歷史教訓，出現於公共建築或場所之紀念、緬懷威權統治者之象徵，應予移除、改名，或以其他方式處置之。
威權統治時期，統治者大規模侵害人權事件之發生地，應予保存或重建，並規劃為歷史遺址。
