Notarized documents shall be written in Chinese unless, at the request of the parties, they be written in foreign languages.In the event the notarized documents were written in Chinese, necessary notations in a foreign language may be included, or a translation in a foreign language may be attached when necessary.The notaries making notarized documents in a foreign language, or attesting foreign translation of documents, shall have their proficiency in the foreign language approved by the Judicial Yuan.
中文原文 公證法第5條
公證文書應以中國文字作成之。
但經當事人請求時，得以外國文字作成。
前項文書以中國文字作成者，必要時得附記外國文字或附譯本。
以外國文字作成公證文書或就文書之翻譯本為認證之公證人，以經司法院核定通曉各該外國語文者為限。
