Act on Sites for Establishment of Low Level Radioactive Waste Final Disposal Facility Article 4
A site of disposal facility must not be located in any of the following areas:1.Area where active faulting or geological conditions could endanger the safety of the disposal facility,2.Area where the geochemical conditions are unfavorable for effectively suppressing the diffusion of radioactive nuclides, and it is likely to endanger the safety of the disposal facility,3.Area where the hydrologic conditions of surface water or groundwater are likely to endanger the safety of the disposal facility,4.Area of high population density, and5.Areas that cannot be developed according to the law.The range of the areas listed in the preceding paragraph and the standard for recognition shall be prescribed by the competent authority jointly with other relevant government agencies within 6 months after this Act takes effect.

處置設施場址，不得位於下列地區：
一、活動斷層或地質條件足以影響處置設施安全之地區。
二、地球化學條件不利於有效抑制放射性核種污染擴散，並足以影響處置設施安全之地區。
三、地表或地下水文條件足以影響處置設施安全之地區。
四、高人口密度之地區。
五、其他依法不得開發之地區。
前項地區之範圍及認定標準，於本條例施行後六個月內，由主管機關會商相關機關定之。
