Regulations on Satellite Broadcasting Program Supplier Broadcasting Domestically-Produced Programs Article 5-1
The types of programs broadcast during designated time slots as listed in Paragraph 1 of the preceding Article are hereby defined as follows:1. Dramas: narrative programs that combine characters, plot, and setting. These programs may be broadcast in the forms of television series, anthology series, mini-series, or television films.2. Movies (including documentaries): domestically-produced movies, foreign-produced movies, and television movies broadcast in the form of television programs.3. Variety shows: music programs (including musical talent shows), singing/dancing programs (including singing/dancing talent shows), talent shows, short plays, game shows, competition-based reality shows, travel shows, food shows, or other programs that incorporate elements of culture, art, or entertainment, or those that present topics on everyday life in the aforementioned manner.4. Children’s programs: programs produced for an audience of children 12 years old and younger.

前條第一項所列個別頻道於指定時段播送之類型節目，定義如下：
一、戲劇：指將人物、情節及場景組合成具故事性之內容，其播送型態包含連續劇、單元劇、迷你影集、電視電影等。
二、電影（含紀錄片）：以電視節目形式播送之國產電影片、非國產電影片及電視電影。
三、綜藝：包含音樂（含音樂競賽節目）、歌舞（含歌舞競賽節目）、才藝表演、短劇、益智、遊戲、競賽、行腳、美食或其他具文化、藝術、娛樂等元素，或以前揭方式呈現生活資訊之節目。
四、兒童：指為未滿十二歲之人所製作之節目。
