Penal Act of Offenses Against National Currency Article 3
A person who counterfeits or alters any coins or notes with the intention to circulate shall be imprisoned for at least 5 years; in addition thereto, a fine of up to 5,000,000 New Taiwan Dollars may be imposed.A person, who has committed the offense specified in the preceding paragraph that has resulted in severe disruptions to the financial system of the country, shall be imprisoned for life or at least 10 years; in addition thereto, a fine of up to 10,000,000 New Taiwan Dollars may be imposed.An attempt to commit the offense specified in the first paragraph is also punishable.
中文原文 妨害國幣懲治條例第3條
意圖供行使之用，而偽造、變造幣券者，處五年以上有期徒刑，得併科新臺幣五百萬元以下罰金。
犯前項之罪，因而擾亂金融，情節重大者，處無期徒刑或十年以上有期徒刑，得併科新臺幣一千萬元以下罰金。
第一項之未遂犯罰之。
