Statistics Act Article 6
The Central BAS Agency shall draft the scheme on the division of the scope of statistics among all levels of government and among of the central government agencies, and then submit the scheme to the Executive Yuan for approval.Any amendment to the scheme mentioned in the preceding Paragraph that does not affect the basic principles may be implemented directly by the Central BAS Agency after consulting with relevant government agencies.For local governments based on the scheme mentioned in the Paragraph 1, the BAS Agencies may divide the scope of statistics of their own government and that of their subordinate agencies.

中央主計機關對各級政府及中央各機關統計範圍之劃分，應擬具方案，報請行政院核定實施。
前項方案內容修正未涉及基本原則之變更者，得逕由中央主計機關與有關機關商定後分行。
地方政府主計機關得依第一項所定方案，辦理各該政府及其所屬機關之統計範圍劃分。
