Statistics Act Article 17
In order to fully utilize the administrative data-processing (ADP) system to conduct government statistics, any agencies shall consult with their BAS units in charge of statistical affairs regarding their needs when constructing or modifying the ADP system.If constructing or modifying the ADP system involves the affairs of local governments, the central government agencies shall consult with the BAS agencies and relevant agencies of the local government regarding their needs.Out of the overall statistics needs, BAS agencies at all levels of government may request their government agencies and the subordinate agencies under said government agency to cooperate on adding or modifying the data categories or relevant functions in the ADP system.

為充分利用行政資料處理系統之資料辦理政府統計，各機關建立或修改該系統時，應先徵詢所在機關辦理統計業務之主計機構需求。
中央各機關建立或修改行政資料處理系統時，若涉及地方政府業務者，應另行徵詢各該政府主計機關及有關機關需求。
各級政府主計機關基於整體統計需要，得要求各該政府及其所屬機關於行政資料處理系統中增修資料項目或相關功能，各機關應予配合。
