Ocean Basic Act Article 3
The government shall promote ocean-related knowledge, facilitate information, ensure the richness and vitality of the ocean, and create a high-value-added marine industrial environment. It shall also pursue a friendly environment, sustainable development, and reasonable and effective resources utilization and international cooperation and exchanges to protect and safeguard the maritime rights and interests of the nation, generations, and ethnic groups.
