Negotiable Instruments Act Article 84
The payer for honor is subrogated for and succeeds to all the rights of the holder against the acceptor, the party for whose honor the payment is made, and any party prior to them, provide that the payer for honor may not negotiate the bill further by endorsement.Any party subsequent to the party for whose honor the payment is made is discharged from their liabilities for the bill by the payment for the honor.
