Deposit Insurance Act Article 3
The Ministry of Finance, in conjunction with the Central Bank, shall establish the Central Deposit Insurance Corporation (hereinafter referred to as the "CDIC") to conduct the business of deposit insurance. The total capital shall be determined by the Executive Yuan.Shares of the aforesaid capital shall be subscribed to by the Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank, and the insured financial institutions. The total capital subscribed by the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank shall exceed 50% of the said capital.

存款保險，由財政部會同中央銀行設立中央存款保險股份有限公司（以下簡稱存保公司）承保；其資本總額，由行政院定之。
