Basic Environment Act Article 37
In order to ensure the rational and effective use of resources and to meet the needs of environmental protection, the governments at all levels must adopt appropriate preferential treatment, incentives, guidance or compensation measures for the following matters:1. Tasks for the protection of the natural, social and human environment.2. Research and development of cleaner production technology, equipment and production of cleaner products.3. Research and development of resource recycling and reuse technologies.4. Promotion and application of renewable energy.5. Research and development of energy-saving technologies and set up energy-saving products.6. Manufacturing or establishment of pollution prevention and control equipment.7. Relocation for environmental protection purposes.8. Provision of land or other resources for environmental protection.9. Tasks for environmental afforestation and green space.10. Other matters related to environmental protection.

各級政府為求資源之合理有效利用及因應環境保護之需要，對下列事項，應採適當之優惠、獎勵、輔導或補償措施：
一、從事自然、社會及人文環境之保護。
二、研發清潔生產技術、設備及生產清潔產品。
三、研發資源回收再利用技術。
四、再生能源之推廣及應用。
五、研發節約能源技術及設置節約能源產品。
六、製造或設置污染防治設備。
七、為環境保護目的而遷移。
八、提供土地或其他資源作為環境保護之用。
九、從事環境造林綠地。
十、其他環境保護有關事項。
