Environmental Analysis Organization Management Regulations Article 2
Terms used in these Regulations are defined as follows:Ⅰ. “Environmental testing and analysis operations” means the application of all types of physical, chemical or biological analysis methods to perform the sampling, testing or measurement of environmental targets.Ⅱ. “Environmental testing and analysis organization” (herein referred to as “testing and analysis organization”) means an organization that has been issued a permit pursuant to these Regulations for the performance of environmental testing and analysis operations.Ⅲ. “Environmental testing and analysis personnel” (herein referred to as “testing and analysis personnel”) means laboratory managers, quality assurance/quality control personnel, and other professional technical personnel engaged in environmental testing and analysis operations.

本辦法專用名詞定義如下：
一、環境檢驗測定業務：指應用各種物理性、化學性或生物性檢測方法以執行環境標的物採樣、檢驗、測定之工作。
二、環境檢驗測定機構（以下簡稱檢測機構）：指依本辦法規定申請核發許可證，執行環境檢驗測定業務之機構。
三、環境檢驗測定人員（以下簡稱檢測人員）：指檢驗室主管、品保品管人員及其他從事環境檢驗測定業務之專業技術人員。
