Drinking Water Management Act Enforcement Rules Article 2
The matters designated in this Act as the responsibility of the central competent authority are as follows.1. Planning, determination, supervision and implementation of national drinking water management policies, programs and plans2. Implementation, determination, deliberation and interpretation of drinking water management laws and regulations3. Research and development and public awareness work for drinking water management4. Training and management of national drinking water management personnel5. Supervision of drinking water management work in special municipalities, counties and cities6. Monitoring and testing of national drinking water quality7. Coordination or implementation of national and inter-special municipality, county and city drinking water management work8. International cooperation and technology exchange related to drinking water management9. Collection and compilation of statistical data on national drinking water management10. Other national drinking water management matters

本條例所定中央主管機關之主管事項如下：
一、全國性飲用水管理之政策、方案與計畫之策劃、訂定及督導執行事項。
二、飲用水管理相關法規之執行、訂定、研議及釋示事項。
三、飲用水管理之研究發展及宣導事項。
四、全國性飲用水管理人員之訓練及管理事項。
五、直轄市及縣（市）飲用水管理業務之督導事項。
六、全國性飲用水水質監測及檢驗事項。
七、全國性或直轄市及縣（市）間飲用水管理之協調或執行事項。
八、飲用水管理之國際合作及科技交流事項。
九、全國性飲用水管理之資料統計及彙整事項。
十、其他有關全國性飲用水管理事項。
