Act of Assistance for Family in Hardship Article 10
Applicants who meet the requirements of Subparagraphs 1 to 3, 5, and 6 of Paragraph 1, Article 4, and have children or grandchildren under the age of six, shall be given priority admission to public childcare institutions. If the children or grandchildren are enrolled in private childcare institutions, a childcare allowance of NT$1,500 per person per month may be applied for.Applications for the childcare allowance shall be submitted to the competent authority at the applicant’s place of household registration within six months of the occurrence of the relevant event, along with supporting documentation.The competent authority of the municipality or county (city) shall assign personnel to conduct home visits for applicants requesting an extension of the subsidy. If there is a clear improvement in their living conditions, the allowance shall be terminated. However, those who have already been admitted to public childcare institutions may continue to receive childcare services.

符合第四條第一項第一款至第三款、第五款及第六款規定，並有未滿六歲之子女或孫子女者，應優先獲准進入公立托教機構；如子女或孫子女進入私立托教機構時，得申請兒童托育津貼每人每月新臺幣一千五百元。
申請兒童托育津貼，應於事實發生後六個月內，檢具相關證明文件，向戶籍所在地主管機關申請。
直轄市、縣（市）主管機關對申請延長補助者，應派員訪視其生活情形；其生活已有明顯改善者，應即停止津貼。
但已進入公立托教機構者，得繼續接受托育。
