People with Disabilities Rights Protection Act Article 8
To prevent and reduce the occurrence of disability, the competent authorities in charge of related services in all levels of government hierarchy shall systematically promote the prevention of disability, disseminate the knowledge of eugenics, health care education on disability-related heredity, disease, disaster, environmental pollution, etc. In addition, they also shall promote the related dissemination and social education.

各級政府相關目的事業主管機關，應本預防原則，針對遺傳、疾病、災害、環境污染及其他導致身心障礙因素，有計畫推動生育保健、衛生教育等工作，並進行相關社會教育及宣導。
