People with Disabilities Rights Protection Act Article 26
Before the expenditure for medical care and rehabilitation services, and assistive devices needed by people with disabilities are included in the coverage of the National Health Insurance, the municipal and county (city) competent authorities shall subsidize people with disabilities according to the result of need evaluation. Regulations on the subsidization mentioned in the paragraph above shall be prescribed by the central competent authority in charge of health together with the central competent authority.

身心障礙者醫療復健所需之醫療費用及醫療輔具，尚未納入全民健康保險給付範圍者，直轄市、縣（市）主管機關應依需求評估結果補助之。
