Amendments to the Regulations on Selection and Training of Professional Workers Providing Welfare Services for People with Disabilities Article 4
An educare giver or a trainer shall meet one of the following qualifications:1. Graduated from a department or specialty related to medical treatment and nursing, rehabilitation, occupational therapy, physical therapy, education, special education, sociology, social work, social welfare, counseling, psychology, juvenile and children welfare, early childhood education, early intervention, audiology and speech-language pathology, elderly care, or long-term care in a college or a university.2. Graduated from a senior high school, and hold an educare giver or a trainer certificate.

教保員及訓練員應具下列資格之一：
一、大專校院醫學、護理、復健、職能治療、物理治療、教育、特殊教育、社會、社會工作、社會福利、輔導、心理、兒童及少年福利、幼保、早期療育、聽力、語言治療、老人照顧、長期照顧相關科、系、所、學位學程畢業。
二、高級中等以上學校畢業，領有教保員及訓練員訓練結業證明書。
