Mental Health Act Article 70
If a severe patient does not have a non-litigious agent, the court may appoint a lawyer as their legal agent if deemed necessary.If a severe patient does not have a legal agent referred to in the preceding Paragraph, or if the court deems it necessary to do so during court proceedings, a guardian ad litem may be designated for the patient. The national treasury may pay the guardian ad litem’s remuneration.

嚴重病人無非訟代理人者，法院認有必要時，得為其選任律師為代理人。
嚴重病人無前項代理人或法院於審理程序中認有必要者，得為其選任程序監理人；程序監理人之報酬，得由國庫支付。
