Mental Health Act Article 30
During patients’ treatment or hospitalization, psychiatric institutions shall inform patients and their families or protectors about their illness conditions, treatment policies, prognosis aspects, reasons for hospitalization, entitled rights, and other related matters.In the case where the patient referred to in the preceding Paragraph is not a severe patient, their family members may be informed only after obtaining the patient’s consent.
中文原文 精神衛生法第30條
精神醫療機構診治病人或於病人住院時，應向其本人及其家屬或保護人說明病情、治療方針、預後情形、住院理由、應享有之權利及其他相關事項。
前項病人非屬嚴重病人者，應經其同意，始得告知其家屬。
