Diplomate Specialization and Examination Regulations Article 13
A specialist examinations shall consist of a written examination and may also include an oral examination, a practical assessment, or an on-site examination. However, a person holding a foreign specialist qualification may be exempted from any or all of the written examination, oral examination, practical assessment, or on-site examination.

專科醫師甄審以筆試為之，並得實施口試、測驗或實地考試。
但具有外國之專科醫師資格經審查該外國專科醫師制度、訓練過程與我國相當者，得免筆試、口試、測驗或實地考試。
