Regulations for Organization and Operation of Human Research Ethics Review Board Article 8
In case of any one of the following situations, IRB members shall recuse themselves from the review:1.Being the principal investigator, co-investigator or client of the research project or sub-project under review.2.Being the spouse of the principal investigator of the research project under review or being or having been related to the principal investigator by fourth degree blood relation or third degree affined relationship.3.Having an employment relationship with the commissioning enterprise of the research project under review.4.There are specific facts pointing to potential bias.5.Other situations in which recusal is deemed necessary upon the IRB’s resolution.

審查委員遇有下列情形之一者，應即迴避，不得參加審查：
一、為受審研究計畫或其子計畫之主持人、協同主持人或委託人。
二、與受審研究計畫主持人有配偶、四親等內之血親或三親等內之姻親或曾有此關係。
三、與受審研究計畫委託廠商具有聘僱關係。
四、有具體事實，足認有偏頗之虞。
五、其他經審查會決議應予迴避者。
