National Health Insurance Act Article 67
Provisions of a ward in a contracted hospital shall comply with the criteria for the establishment of the insurance ward. The criteria for the establishment of an insurance ward and the ratio of the insurance ward to the aggregate number of hospital wards shall be established by the Competent Authority.Contracted hospitals shall announce the status of their insurance wards daily.The Insurer shall announce the ratio of insurance wards monthly and conduct quarterly checks.

特約醫院設置病房，應符合保險病房設置基準；保險病房設置基準及應占總病床比率，由主管機關定之。
特約醫院應每日公布保險病床使用情形。
