Act on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Animal Diseases Article 2
Competent authorities as referred to in this Act: At the central government level: the Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan; at the special municipal level: the government of the special municipality; and at the county (city) level: the government of the county (city).The animal health inspection authorities as mentioned in this Act refer to authorities and district offices (cities and towns) established by the respective authorities concerned at different government levels in accordance with Paragraph 2 of Article 8.The competent authority, in matters related to public health, shall take action jointly with the public health authorities.

本條例所稱主管機關：在中央為行政院農業委員會；在直轄市為直轄市政府；在縣（市）為縣（市）政府。
本條例所稱動物防疫機關，係指各級主管機關依第八條第二項所設之機關及鄉（鎮、市）公所。
主管機關對於主管事項涉及國民健康者，應會同衛生主管機關行之。
