The Plant Variety and Plant Seed Act Article 13
A variety denomination under the preceding Article shall not contain any of the following circumstances:1. such denomination is expressed solely in the form of figures,2. such denomination is identical with or similar to the denomination of another variety within the same species or a closely related species,3. such denomination is likely to mislead or cause confusion as to the characteristics of the variety or the identity of the breeder, or4. such denomination is contrary to public order and public morals.

前條品種名稱，不得有下列情事之一：
一、單獨以數字表示。
二、與同一或近緣物種下之品種名稱相同或近似。
三、對品種之性狀或育種者之身分有混淆誤認之虞。
