Labor Inspection Act Article 27
When a major occupational accident occurs in a business entity, the labor inspection agency shall dispatch labor inspector(s) to inspect and investigate the causes and determine the responsible person(s) or party(-ies). If deemed necessary to shutdown the workplace in order to prevent further occupational accidents, the labor inspector(s) shall notify the business entity in writing and order partially shut down or completely shut down.

勞動檢查機構對事業單位工作場所發生重大職業災害時，應立即指派勞動檢查員前往實施檢查，調查職業災害原因及責任；其發現非立即停工不足以避免職業災害擴大者，應就發生災害場所以書面通知事業單位部分或全部停工。
