Regulations Governing Extension of Unemployment Benefit Payment to Workers with Employment Insurance Article 2
The central competent authority may announce extension of unemployment benefit payment up to the maximum of nine months under the following circumstances:1.When the ratio of unemployment benefit claimants each month to the total of unemployment benefit claimants each month and the total number of workers insured at the end of the month has reached over 3.3% for four consecutive months;2.The unemployment rate released by the Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics has not abated for four consecutive months.When the severity of unemployment described in the preceding paragraph worsens and achieves the following situations, the central competent authority may again announce extension of unemployment benefit payment up to 12 months in total:1.When the ratio of unemployment benefit claimants each month to the total of unemployment benefit claimants each month and the total number of workers insured at the end of the month has reached over 3.3% for eight consecutive months;2.The unemployment rate released by the Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics has not abated for eight consecutive months.

中央主管機關於失業狀況符合下列情形時，得公告延長失業給付，最長發給九個月：
一、每月領取失業給付人數占每月領取失業給付人數加計每月底被保險人人數之比率，連續四個月達百分之三點三以上。
二、中央主計機關發布之失業率連續四個月未降低。
前項所定失業狀況加重達下列情形時，得再公告延長失業給付，合計最長發給十二個月：
一、每月領取失業給付人數占每月領取失業給付人數加計每月底被保險人人數之比率，連續八個月達百分之三點三以上。
二、中央主計機關發布之失業率連續八個月未降低。
一、每月領取失業給付人數占每月領取失業給付人數加計每月底被保險人人數之比率，連續四個月達百分之三點三以上。
二、中央主計機關發布之失業率連續四個月未降低。
前項所定失業狀況加重達下列情形時，得再公告延長失業給付，合計最長發給十二個月：
一、每月領取失業給付人數占每月領取失業給付人數加計每月底被保險人人數之比率，連續八個月達百分之三點三以上。
二、中央主計機關發布之失業率連續八個月未降低。
