Regulations on Awarding the Top Performances of Meteorological Service Article 3
A government agency, institution, organization, or individual that has practiced meteorological service and satisfies one of the following requirements may submit an application or through a recommendation to the CWB with an application form (or a recommendation letter) and associated documents in accordance with the second paragraph of Article 2:1. promoting meteorological service with top performance;2. advancing research and development in meteorological related technology with top performance;3. engaged in meteorological-related disaster prevention education with top performance.For a government agency, institution, organization, or individual satisfying the preceding requirements, the CWB may suggest the MOTC to grant an award and/or commendation in accordance with the first paragraph of Article 2.The format of application form and the recommendation letter aforementioned in the first paragraph shall be established by the CWB.

機關、學校、團體或個人從事氣象業務且符合下列條件者，得依前條第二項規定向中央氣象局提出申請或推薦，並填具申請書、推薦書及檢附符合條件之證明文件送中央氣象局辦理。
一、推展氣象業務，著有績效者。
二、從事氣象業務相關技術之研究發展，著有績效者。
三、參與氣象防災宣導工作，著有績效者。
符合前項規定條件之機關、學校、團體或個人，中央氣象局得依前條第一項規定報請交通部獎勵或表揚。
第一項申請書、推薦書之格式由中央氣象局另定之。
