Regulations Governing Licences and Ratings for Airmen Article 88
The applicant for flight engineer licence shall not be less than 21 years or over 65 years of age and shall produce relevant documents to show that the applicant meets any of the following pre-requisites:(1) Graduates of schools of aviation engineering; mechanics; electrical engineering or electronic engineering or has successfully completed the training for flight engineers. The training includes ground school, full flight simulator or flight training device, and operational practices on aircraft.(2) Holder of a valid aircraft maintenance engineer licence and has successfully completed flight engineer training.(3) Has had 500 hours or more flight time as pilot on multi-engine aircraft and successfully completed flight engineer training.

申請飛航工程師檢定證者，其年齡應滿二十一歲，且未逾六十五歲，並具下列資格之一及提出相關文件：
一、專科以上學校航空工程、機械、電機或電子科系畢業，經完成飛航工程師訓練（包括地面學科、飛行模擬機或飛行訓練器操作、隨機見習及實際空中操作）合格者。
二、具有效航空器維修工程師檢定證，並經完成飛航工程師訓練合格者。
三、擔任多發動機航空器駕駛員具五百小時以上之飛航經驗，經完成飛航工程師訓練合格者。
一、專科以上學校航空工程、機械、電機或電子科系畢業，經完成飛航工程師訓練（包括地面學科、飛行模擬機或飛行訓練器操作、隨機見習及實際空中操作）合格者。
