An assistant-class voyage crew shall refer to the Class B crew who are on duty on a ship with total tonnage of more than 500 tons.The assistant-class marine crew is a Class B crew member who is on duty in the engine room of a ship with main engine propulsion power of more than 750 kW, or who is on duty personnel, but is not required to be on duty in the engine room all times.

助理級航行當值船員指在總噸位五百以上船舶執行航行當值之乙級船員。
