Regulations Governing Recognition of Designated Testing Laboratory for Commodity Inspection Article 3
The testing laboratory applying for recognition shall possess any of the following qualifications:1. Administrative bodies or institutions of the Republic of China;2. Domestic public or private college, university, or higher;3. Domestic non-profit juristic persons; or4. Depending upon different geographic areas, testing categories, testing items, commodity categories or further requirements, other juristic persons that have been announced and opened for application for recognition by the BSMI in reference to international practice.

申請認可之試驗室，應具備下列資格之一：
一、本國行政機關或機構。
二、國內公立或立案私立大專以上學校。
三、國內公益法人。
四、其他經標準檢驗局參考國際作法，依地區、檢測領域、檢測項目、商品種類或其他事項之需要，公告同意開放受理申請之法人。
