The Weights and Measures Act Article 19
Under any of the following circumstances, the owner or the possessor of the verified legal measuring instrument at issue shall file a application for reverification:1. Where the verified legal measuring instrument has undergone a repair, adjustment or alignment, remodeling or re-building; or2. Where the term of validity of the verification has expired.Upon expiration of the maximum term of use of a verified legal measuring instrument, no application for reverication may be filed in respect of the same legal measuring instrument.

經檢定合格之法定度量衡器，有下列情事之一者，其所有人或持有人應重新申請檢定：
一、經修理、調整或改造者。
二、檢定合格之有效期間屆滿者。
經檢定合格之法定度量衡器，其最長使用期限屆滿者，不得重新申請檢定。
